On March 12 and 13, 2025, JOSHCO’s Marketing Department successfully hosted a Mall Activation Help Desk at Devland, providing a platform for direct community engagement and housing awareness. Over the two-day activation, residents had the opportunity to interact with JOSHCO representatives, ask questions about affordable rental opportunities, tenant application processes, and housing policies, and receive guidance on available support services.

JOSHCO received an invitation to assist in a program organized by the office of the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Human Settlements. This initiative aimed to address the concerns of the residents of Region D, specifically Orlando West, regarding various matters related to JOSHCO. The organization established a Helpdesk, to respond to inquiries concerning the application process, rental payments, and payment arrangements, as well as guidance on how to contact JOSHCO for services and updates.

On February 15, 2025, JOSHCO successfully hosted a Tenant Engagement Programme at Ekhaya Gardens in Region C, with support from the Marketing Department. This initiative formed part of JOSHCO’s Revenue Drive, bringing together multiple departments to engage directly with tenants. The program aimed to address tenant concerns, provide clarity on rental payments, and promote responsible tenancy.

On February 13, 2025, JOSHCO’s Marketing Department supported a Civic Education Programme organized by the Ombudsman’s Office of the City of Johannesburg at East Bank Hall in Region E. The program aimed to educate residents and the general public on their rights and responsibilities when engaging with municipal services, including housing-related matters.

The visit was initiated due to allegations outlined in a media alert from City Power regarding JOSHCO tenants illegally connecting electricity. This visit held significant importance as JOSHCO firmly does not tolerate illegal connections, and any breach of this policy would necessitate addressing the tenants involved.
